August 4 We honor George Lewer by attending the Maywood Night Out, 5 pm. We used to meet at George’s and go as a group. Free food once there.
August 11 Steering meeting, 7 pm via phone.
August 23 Outdoor meeting/sandwich swap, noon, Veterans Memorial Park, Bergenfield
August 26 JCC seniors event, Tenafly, 11 am to noon. Rain/excess-heat date, August 27. They will feed and water us at the event. Please RSVP to Dave Z to make sure there’s food.
Future meetings: September 27, outdoors; October, at Doyle’s, including nominations for officers; November at the VFW, 2 pm (final call for nominations, followed by elections); December: no meeting

Wallington Plumbing show. Free show, usually with pizza, July 30, evening. Not in Wallington.
Joey’s Fund (Closter). Sept. 20, 10 am to 3 pm, numerous giveaways, $20 pre-register (RRR may refund) or $25 on-site.
Steering teleconferences are on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. Meetings are usually the fourth Sunday of the month. Next: Aug. 11
