Restored Rusty Relics at Doyle’s Auto

2023 Garage Stop

With thanks to Doyle’s Auto and 4x4 for hosting us, and to Pete Doll for making the arrangements and providing lunch and beverages. The shop is at 197 Main Street, New Milford.

The “early risers” (Barracuda, Monaco, Hornet, Corvair Monza, Model A, Duster) soon to be joined by a Bronco and Ranchero. We were a bit down from the twelve cars we had in 2022.

2022 Garage Stop

Twelve cars showed up; several members arrived early to help with parking and traffic. VP Earl’s car fortunately fit right in in front of Pete’s ’Cuda.

With the Superbird and Hudson Hornet, two NASCAR legends were parked nose to nose.

Show chair Jacques had to move his car forward a few feet to make room for Barry, but first he paused to pose.

Once in the air conditioned garage—its cleanliness and order hiding a good deal of modern equipment—the Relics gathered some food, cooked and provided by Pete Doll.

Afterwards, most went back outside to tour the 12 classic cars—a partial list including Pierce Arrow, Packard, the Superbird and Hudson, a Beetle (not pictured due to camera issues), and a Model A.

Ryan Doyle provided a brief tour of his monster truck, currently being upgraded, and then took us into the shop for a brief tour of the facilities.
